It’s difficult for me to trust people enough to ask for or accept help. And when I say people, I mean people who I know love me unconditionally. Sometimes my mind can twist itself into believing the lies it creates without proof. In order for me to push myself out of that I try to regulate my mind to disprove the original thought.

For example: If I want to call one of my best friends, but my initial thought is I don’t want to bother her, she’s probably busy, I don’t want to burden her.

My thought: I’m believing I am a burden to my best friend.

Disprove: I am not a burden, my best friend loves and cares about me unconditionally and even though they may not return my text or call, she will see that I was thinking about her and get back to me when she can.

It’s kind of like affirmations, but the disproving technique removes POWER from the thought and causes me to think logically and find the thought to be FALSE.

I am grateful for my support system.

Impossible is just an opinion.
